"Ayur = Life. Veda = Knowledge. Together: a complete system of natural medicine originating in India over 5,000 years ago, now recognised by the World Health Organisation."

"Ayurveda takes into account our minds, bodies, interactions, food, energy and the natural world — making them part of five basic elements: Earth, Water, Fire, Air and Space."
A combination of the five elements results in three doshas: Vata, Kapha and Pitta. Based on your dosha, there could be an imbalance causing physical or mental symptoms. Your dosha determines not only your health but your personality too.
